Jennifer Goddard Combs
Jennifer honed her skills in Los Angeles, managing publicity for people in the entertainment industry and business community, before moving to Montecito.
This training prepared her for working with national and international media outlets — including securing media coverage in China and a front page article in the Detroit Free Press for Goleta-based TrueVision 3D Surgical.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Jennifer has been an 18-year member, past president, Rotarian of the Month and Year of the Rotary Club of Montecito.

Julie Price brings to The Goddard Company more than three decades of experience as a Southern California newspaper journalist and a corporate communications specialist.
For most of her professional life, Julie worked for the Los Angeles Daily News, primarily as a news reporter, and for the Ventura County Star, where she spent 12 years as an award-winning features editor. Her other newsroom positions have included lifestyle columnist, news copy editor and wire editor. After leaving newspapers, Julie spent seven years in corporate public relations and internal communications, for CKE Restaurants and The Cheesecake Factory, respectively, before leaving corporate employment in 2017 and joining the Goddard team.
Julie began her journalism career, as a staff writer for the Daily News, at age 19, while still in college.
Mackenzie Hiatt is a new associate at The Goddard Company having joined the publicity company in early 2019. Mackenzie handles social media for The Goddard Company as well as taking care of other important tasks like sending press releases and placing calendar listings of our clients’ events in local, regional and national print and online media. She also attends events for our clients working with the press.
Mackenzie graduated from California Lutheran University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Production and a minor in Entrepreneurship. When Mackenzie was in her third year in college, she participated in the New Venture Competition and was on an award-winning team. She honed her skill for social media while working for a co-working space in Westlake Village, where she put together an event every Tuesday.
Mackenzie has always had an interest in marketing and public relations and is excited to grow her career in the publicity world.

Laurie has been managing B2C and B2B public relations and marketing initiatives for executives and companies in the legal, entertainment, medical, health and wellness, fitness, HR, technology, CPG and professional service industries for over 25 years. She launched her focus on digital media and online reputation management in its infancy, forecasting the viability of “new media” in 2003 as the future of public relations and reputation management.
As a digital and social media specialist, she takes charge of the production and management of link building content such as press releases, article publication or blog posts, podcast production and video production. Laurie also has a keen eye for social media audience development, management and messaging campaigns, and a vast knowledge of website design and management as well as search engine optimization (SEO).
